Ah, summer vacation means:
mom can sleep in
kids quietly sneak downstairs to watch cartoons
late breakfasts
no calendar time at school, cleaning time at home
remembering directions can still be followed
public libraries instead of school library
no playing on the blacktop but at parks
classrooms don't separate us, but different rooms at home can
it is okay to be bored
running errands is a big job
it takes a week or so to find our balance with each other again
Today was our first full day of summer, and I definitely have some balancing to do this weekend and next week to get everyone on the same page! Love this post....
